July 28, 2026: Indian vessel operator Seamec has entered into a diving services agreement with its parent company HAL Offshore to provide subsea diving services on two ONGC vessels.

The company will conduct diving services on the 1986-built Samudra Prabha and the 1988-built Samudra Sevak diving support vessels (DSVs), both of which are managed by Seamec.

The two contracts are valued at about $9.42m and $9.96m, respectively, excluding goods and services tax.

Both deals, worth $19.38m in total, are classified as related-party transactions but are stated to be on an arm’s length basis and within the normal course of business.

Earlier this month, Seamec bought the Seamec Anant DSV from HAL Offshore for $70m. Following delivery scheduled around August 31, the DSV will be chartered back to HAL Offshore at a $45,000 dayrate.
