August 15, 2026: A fire that broke out at an Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) installation in the Kalol field in Gujarat on Thursday has been contained. Emergency teams responded to the incident. No injuries were reported, the state-run energy company said.
The affected facility is located in the Kalol-Mansa area of Gandhinagar district. Firefighting teams were sent to the site after flames and smoke were sighted at the installation.
ONGC said its fire and emergency response teams acted immediately and put out the blaze. Normal production operations have since resumed, the company said.
"No injury or harm to any personnel has been reported. The situation is fully under control, and normal production operations have been completely restored," ONGC said in a statement.
