August 15, 2026: State-run Engineers India Limited (EIL) reported a strong financial performance for the quarter ended June 30, with Profit Before Tax (PBT) and Profit After Tax (PAT) rising 55 percent year-on-year.
EIL PBT increased to Rs 1.45 billion in Q1 FY27 from Rs 940 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year. PAT also rose 55 percent to Rs 1.09 billion from Rs 700 million in Q1 FY26.
The company’s operating margin improved to around 14 percent, or Rs 1.08 billion, during the quarter, compared with 7 percent, or Rs 590 million, in the year-ago period. EBITDA stood at Rs 1554.4 million, with an EBITDA margin of 18.55 percent, against Rs 1046.1 million and an EBITDA margin of 11.72 percent in Q1 FY 26.
On a consolidated basis, EIL recorded PAT of Rs 1579.4 million in Q1 FY27, registering a 141 percent increase over Rs 654 million in the corresponding quarter of FY26.
The company’s order book stood at Rs 144.24 billion as on June 30, 2026. Of this, the consultancy segment accounted for Rs 104.98 billion, while the turnkey segment contributed Rs 39.26 billion.
