August 22, 2026: Mahanagar Gas Limited (MGL), one of India’s leading City Gas Distribution (CGD) companies, has achieved a defining milestone by successfully transitioning Ashiv village in its Latur Geographical Area (GA) entirely from LPG to Piped Natural Gas (PNG), making it Maharashtra’s first 100% LPG-free PNG village.

The achievement was formally commemorated today at a ceremony in Ashiv, presided over by Shri Yadnesh Dhuri, Chief Executive Officer, Mahanagar Gas Limited (SBU) in the presence of Smt. Komal Walke, Sarpanch- Gram Panchayat-Ashiv, Shri Venkatesh Ravload (District Supply Officer), Shri Ghanshyam Adsul (Tahsildar Ausa), Smt. Priyanka Borkar (Taluka Supply Officer), Shri. Rizwan Patel (Sales Officer BPCL), Adv. Parikshit Abhimanyu Pawar (President - Creative Foundation) other dignitaries, MGL representatives and local residents.
